The surgery consists in performing a new path for tear drainage between the lacrimal sac and the nasal cavity.
In IMO, classical DCR (dacryocystorhinostomy) is also performed, as well as transcanalicular laser assisted DCR (TCL-DCR). This last technique uses a Diode Laser (Lacrimax) since it is effective and minimally invasive.
