In some cases and for screeningpurposes, namely in Diabetic Retinopathy and Hypertensive Retinopathy, the exam can be performed without the dilation of the pupil. We have available at IMO last generation non-mydriatic retinograph.
In cases of retinal pathology, retinography is used as a way of image recording, and should be performed under pharmacological mydriasis, often associated with fluorescein angiography.
