SLT – Selective LASER Trabeculoplasty
Unlike classical Argon laser trabeculoplasty, it has no thermal effect, so it does not produce lesions in adjacent tissues and is practically free of adverse effects, and can be repeated if there is loss of control of the Intraocular Pressure.
It is effective in 90 percent of the cases, achieving a mean decrease in intraocular pressure of around 6.8 mm Hg.
