Orthoptic Treatment
The orthoptic treatment is a visual reeducation to obtain a better binocular vision. It is a workout or a set of exercises to help achieve muscular and/or sensorial stimulation directing the brain to reorganize the oculomotor and binocular balance, allowing the eyes to work better at the same time, achieving a greater comfort and better visual performance.
Common indications in adults or in children:
- Amblyopia
- Some types of strabismus
- Ocular convergence insufficiency
