Methods for Biometrics<\/h2>\n

IMO has two different methods for Biometrics:<\/p>\n

Ultrasonic Biometry<\/h3>\n

A classical method that uses ultrasounds to measure the axial length of the eye and the depth of the anterior chamber, introducing the remaining variables – diopter power of the cornea – measured in other equipment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Optical Biometry<\/h3>\n

IOL Master (Zeiss) and AL-Scan (Nidek)<\/strong> – Optical coherence Biometry – the most recent method that performs, with more accuracy, all the measurements necessary to calculate the ideal intraocular lens to be implanted in each proposed case for cataract phacoemulsification surgery or transparent lens surgery.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
